What do these codes mean together?
Paste the list of codes your scanner gave you. We explain each one and — more importantly — what they mean together: several codes often come from one cause.

What they have in common
This is the part a per-code reference cannot tell you.
When both banks report the same thing, the cause is almost always common to both — before the intake splits. Look at the air meter, the fuel pressure and leaks on the shared part of the intake, not at one bank's injectors.
Each code
Most often this is an air leak: cracks in the intake hose after the air filter, a hose that slipped off, a tired gasket. Less often — a dirty mass air flow sensor or a weak fuel pump. Start by looking at the hoses, that costs nothing.
The mixture is too lean on the second half of the engine — this only applies to V-shaped engines. The causes are the same as for P0171: air leaks, hoses, gaskets. If both banks read lean at once, look for something they share: the intake manifold, the airflow meter, a weak fuel pump.
