Wheel speed sensor — the number is read differently
Where to start
⚠️ This number has TWO readings, and they point at different places. Under the SAE standard it is a supply subfault of the FRONT RIGHT wheel sensor, while in the GM numbering it is the FRONT LEFT wheel. Before crawling under the car, check which module reported the code and your make's manual. Beyond that the story is the same for every wheel sensor: the connector and the wire at the hub first, the sensor last. «No signal» more often means a break or a flooded connector than a dead sensor. The ABS light comes on, and that is correct: the system has honestly switched itself off, the ordinary brakes work.
How to put together a report a mechanic will actually read
How the code is built
All codes in «Brakes, ABS and stability control»
How the app helps
CarScan reads this code from your car through an OBD-II adapter, shows whether it is active now or only stored, names the module that reported it, and puts it into a plain-text report for your mechanic.
