Turbocharger boost pressure too high
Where to start
Boost pressure above the limit. Usually a stuck or torn wastegate control valve, less often an actuator misadjusted after a repair. Driving with overboost is harmful: the control unit already cuts power, while the turbo keeps working past its limit.
What to watch in live data
