Knock sensor circuit malfunction
Where to start
The knock sensor does not answer or reads wrong. The sensor itself rarely fails — the connector or the tightening torque is more often to blame: it bolts to the block and is sensitive to how it is tightened.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
