Knock sensor (bank 1) — signal out of range
Where to start
The knock sensor signal is out of range. The sensor itself rarely dies — the tightening torque is far more often to blame: it is bolted to the block and starts lying if tightened wrongly. Check the torque and the connector before buying a part.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
