Camshaft position sensor circuit range/performance
Where to start
The camshaft sensor signal does not line up with the crankshaft one. The cause can be harmless — a connector or wire shielding — or mechanical: a stretched chain. Listen to the engine from cold: a rattle in the first seconds changes the conversation.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
