Idle speed higher than expected
Where to start
Idle speed is higher than commanded. Look for air getting past the throttle first: cracked pipes, tired gaskets, a loose breather hose. Clean the throttle body while you are there.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
