The live-data reference is now grouped

Forty-seven parameters used to be one flat list. Now there are eight groups — and the search understands their names.

The live-data reference used to look like this: forty-seven rows in a row, from calculated load to system voltage. If you knew the parameter number, fine. If you did not, there was nothing to do but scroll.

Eight groups

The parameters are now arranged by meaning: «Engine and how it runs», «Air and mixture», «Fuel», «Oxygen and exhaust», «Cooling», «Electrics and pedal», «Exhaust recirculation», «What the unit remembers».

The order is not alphabetical but follows how people read: what you start a diagnosis with comes first, what you rarely need comes last.

The search now understands groups

Along the way something unpleasant turned up: searching for «oxygen» found nothing. The word does not appear in the parameters themselves — they are called «Lambda B1S1». The group was on the page, but the search knew nothing about it.

Now the group name is part of what the search looks at: type «oxygen», «cooling» or «fuel» and you get every parameter of that group, even if none of them contains the word.

What has not changed

All forty-seven parameters are there, each with its own page explaining it in plain words and giving normal values. Nothing is hidden behind a button: the groups are open from the start and you can still scroll straight through.
