Transmission control module fault — check transmission codes
Where to start
This is not a fault of its own but a flag: the transmission has codes of its own. The transmission control unit is what needs reading — the real code is stored there. Our app reads engine codes; transmission ones are not reachable on every car.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
