Engine speed input to transmission — malfunction
Where to start
The gearbox sees no ENGINE speed signal. A rare case where a transmission code points at the engine: check first for crankshaft sensor codes, and only then look inside the gearbox.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
