P0715Powertrain
Input speed sensor — malfunction
Where to start
The input speed sensor of the transmission. The gearbox no longer knows how fast the shaft turns and either shifts harshly or drops into limp mode with a single gear. You can drive home on it, but not far and not fast.
A code is not a diagnosis. It says which check failed, not which part to replace. Clearing it without repair only means the car will report it again in a few trips.
